AnyDVD is a driver, which descrambles DVD-Movies automatically in the background. This DVD appears unprotected and region code free for all applications and the Windows operating system as well. With AnyDVD's help copy tools like CloneDVD, Pinnacle Instant Copy, InterVideo DVD-Copy, etc. are able to copy CSS protected Movies. You can remove the RPC region code, thereby making the movie region free and viewable on any DVD player and with any DVD player software. AnyDVD is capable of removing unwanted movie features, including subtitles and prohibition messages such as copyright and FBI warnings. Install Windows Vista SP1 Release Candidate through Windows Update
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 RC Refresh is available to Beta testers through Windows Update. Experience the WU installation path for Windows Vista SP1 by following these simple steps and give us your feedback to improve our quality.

Before You Install
* You must uninstall any previous versions of Windows Vista SP1 before installing Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh
To uninstall previous version of Windows Vista SP1
1. Open the Programs and Features control panel and select View installed updates. In the Microsoft Windows section, right-click Service Pack for Windows (936330) and select Uninstall.
2. Your system will now uninstall the previous version of Windows Vista SP1 Beta and may reboot multiple times.
3. Please wait one hour after uninstalling a previous version of Windows Vista SP1 before installing Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh. The installer service needs to clean up and complete the uninstall prior to installing the RC. Failing to do this can result in installation errors when installing the RC version.
* Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh is pre-release software and will change before the final release. Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh is for individuals, organizations, and technical enthusiasts who are comfortable evaluating pre-release software and is provided for testing purposes only. Microsoft does not recommend installing this software on primary or mission critical systems. Microsoft recommends that you have a backup of your data prior to installing any pre-release software.
* Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh is time-limited software.
Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh will no longer operate after June 30, 2008 and should be uninstalled prior to that date. After installation your desktop will show the text “Evaluation Copy”. This does not mean that your system is no longer genuine but that you have installed a test version of software which is time-limited. The “Evaluation Copy” text will appear on your desktop after the second reboot after installing the service pack. Likewise, the “Evaluation Copy” text will remain on your desktop during the first reboot after uninstall the service pack, but will disappear after the next reboot.
* If you install Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh it is strongly recommended that you install the final version of Windows Vista SP1 when it is released. To do this, you will be required to uninstall this RC version of Windows Vista SP1.
* Assisted support (phone, email and online chat) is not available from Microsoft Help and Support for this RC release of Windows Vista SP1. Self-help and peer support is available through the Windows Vista SP1 forum.
* You must have a genuine copy of Windows Vista installed prior to installing Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh.

The Windows Update Experience
Systems running on Windows Vista RTM typically require two or three updates before SP1 can be installed. These updates are permanent on your Windows Vista systems. Windows Update will detect your system configuration and offer the prerequisite packages that are applicable to your system. Based on the state of your system, Windows Update will offer you all the applicable prerequisite packages and SP1 in a sequential order. For details, please see the instructions below.

The prerequisite updates consist of two updates which service specific Windows components prior to the installation of the service pack and a third update which services the installation software built into Windows Vista. The following are the prerequisite updates.

* KB935509 This updates is only required on Windows Vista Enterprise and Windows Vista Ultimate editions (which have Bitlocker capabilities). This update is required prior to installing KB938371, the second prerequisite update and is required to prevent potential loss of data on Bitlocker encrypted systems during updating.
* KB938371 This update consists of fixes for several components (including the TrustedInstaller), increases the success rate for installing the service pack and enables the service pack to be uninstalled successfully.
* KB937287 This is an update to the “Servicing Stack” or the Windows Vista component installer technologies built into Windows Vista. This update enables the built-in installer to properly and successfully install the service pack.

Installing the Service Pack
There are two ways to install the service pack, first, as a pop-up notification that the service pack is ready to be installed (this is the method in which most users will install the service pack) and using multiple manual installations from Windows Update. The first method is the simplest, but may take up to four days for the Windows Update Automatic Update feature to deliver each of the 3 prerequisites and the service pack. Windows Vista SP1 distributed through Windows Update will be applicable to Windows Vista machines that are running on any of the 36 languages supported by Windows Vista RTM.

Method 1: Automatic Update
You can install Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh using the Automatic Update process by following these steps.

Before You Install

* You must uninstall any previous versions of Windows Vista SP1 before installing Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh

To uninstall previous version of Windows Vista SP1
1. Open the Programs and Features control panel and select View installed updates. In the Microsoft Windows section, right-click Service Pack for Windows (936330) and select Uninstall.
2. Your system will now uninstall the previous version of Windows Vista SP1 Beta and may reboot multiple times.
3. Please wait one hour after uninstalling a previous version of Windows Vista SP1 before installing Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh. The installer service needs to clean up and complete the uninstall prior to installing the RC. Failing to do this can result in installation errors when installing the RC version.
* Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh is pre-release software and will change before the final release. Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh is for individuals, organizations, and technical enthusiasts who are comfortable evaluating pre-release software and is provided for testing purposes only. The Windows Update Experience

Systems running on Windows Vista RTM typically require two or three updates before SP1 can be installed. These updates are permanent on your Windows Vista systems. Windows Update will detect your system configuration and offer the prerequisite packages that are applicable to your system. Based on the state of your system, Windows Update will offer you all the applicable prerequisite packages and SP1 in a sequential order. For details, please see the instructions below.

The prerequisite updates consist of two updates which service specific Windows components prior to the installation of the service pack and a third update which services the installation software built into Windows Vista. The following are the prerequisite updates.

* KB935509 This updates is only required on Windows Vista Enterprise and Windows Vista Ultimate editions (which have Bitlocker capabilities). This update is required prior to installing KB938371, the second prerequisite update and is required to prevent potential loss of data on Bitlocker encrypted systems during updating.
* KB938371 This update consists of fixes for several components (including the TrustedInstaller), increases the success rate for installing the service pack and enables the service pack to be uninstalled successfully.
* KB937287 This is an update to the “Servicing Stack” or the Windows Vista component installer technologies built into Windows Vista. This update enables the built-in installer to properly and successfully install the service pack.

Installing the Service Pack
There are two ways to install the service pack, first, as a pop-up notification that the service pack is ready to be installed (this is the method in which most users will install the service pack) and using multiple manual installations from Windows Update. The first method is the simplest, but may take up to four days for the Windows Update Automatic Update feature to deliver each of the 3 prerequisites and the service pack. Windows Vista SP1 distributed through Windows Update will be applicable to Windows Vista machines that are running on any of the 36 languages supported by Windows Vista RTM.

Method 1: Automatic Update
You can install Windows Vista SP1 RC Refresh using the Automatic Update process by following these steps.

Catalyst 8.1 introduces MultiView™ support. This feature provides for hardware accelerated OpenGL rendering across multiple graphics adapters. MultiView™ will provide hardware accelerated 3D rendering in a system containing multiple graphics cards on an extended desktop arrangement. This feature will allow for the rendering performance and additional frame buffer resources to be evenly shared with the second and third graphics adapters. Starting in the spring of 2007, daylight saving time (DST) start and end dates for the United States will transition to comply with the Energy Policy Act of 2005. DST dates in the United States will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November).

The update that this article describes changes the time zone data to account for the United States DST change. This time zone update will also include changes for other related DST changes, time zone behavior, and settings. Some of these changes will occur in 2007, and some have occurred since these versions of Windows were originally released. The update that this article describes also includes some changes that have previously been released as individual hotfixes. An example of this is the Sri Lanka change in time zone offset. Keeping the net secure and previewing new features

The SeaMonkey Council is pleased to announce two new releases simultaneously:

First, SeaMonkey 1.0.6 continues the successful 1.0 series of the SeaMonkey all-in-one internet suite, fixing several security vulnerabilities and various stability issues (see the release notes for more information). The SeaMonkey Council recommends that all users upgrade to this stable, well-tested version.

Second, the SeaMonkey project has been working hard on improving its software even further, adding new features such as tab previews, spell checking in the browser, an e-mail tagging system, an improved Linux startup script, better new mail notifications, an updated Chatzilla IRC client, and more. A new preview showing off those improvements, SeaMonkey 1.1 Beta, was also released today. This version is intended for developers and testers (but not yet for end users). The SeaMonkey Council encourages interested people to test the Beta and help identify the remaining bugs. Be sure to read the release notes before testing though, as they list not only the new features but also a number of known issues. Any problems that are not already known should be reported to the developers via Bugzilla so that the final SeaMonkey 1.1 release can continue the traditional high quality expected from the Mozilla suite and the SeaMonkey 1.0 series.

So, what’s in this new build?

Well, it’s been over a month since we released an update – and the team has been diligently working on fixing lots (and I mean, lots) of bugs! All in all, we’ve fixed hundreds of bugs since the last build that our Beta testers received! I think when you install this latest build, you will likely see improvements all over the product – but, as usual, there are a few areas I’d like to specifically point out so you can try them out and give them a real run for their money!

- Account/Mail Migration

We’ve made a number of bug fixes in this area, but we’ve also added support for some scenarios which weren’t covered in previous builds. Now when you install WLMd for the first time, we support migration of your Windows Mail accounts if you are running Windows Vista.

- Minimize to the System Tray (round 2)

Ok, ok…so we know this feature wasn’t perfect in the last build. We got a lot of feedback on it, and this latest build contains fixes for a lot of the issues you all reported – so give it another shot and let us know if you continue to see problems with the feature.

- Search updates

The Windows Desktop Search team recently shipped v3.0 of their product, and we made some changes in WLMd to make sure we integrate well with their latest version. If you’re running Windows XP SP2, please go and download Desktop Search 3.0 and give the Search feature in WLMd a whirl!

- Message list updates

Two of the biggest customer requests for the Message List were to (a) provide the ability to sort messages by size and (b) give customers a one-line view option so you can have better sorting capabilities. I’m happy to report that both of these options are now available in this build! Enjoy!

- Windows Live Spaces “Friends” Integration

Windows Live Spaces has a “Friends” feature – and for those of you haven’t tried this feature out, you really should! It’s a very cool way of tagging and keeping in touch with not only your Friends, but also to explore the sites of your Friends’ Friends and build a broader social network. We wanted to integrate with this feature in WLMd, so now in the Contacts area you will see a link to “Go to your friends list” which launches a new browser window that takes you directly to your Friends list! Intuitive, right? ;-)

- General Bug Fix Areas - There are a few other areas where we made a number of general bug fixes, and we’d like to just point them out to you so you can let us know if you think more improvements could still be made…

· Synchronization – I know a lot of people were running into syncing problems, getting errors and such, and we’ve spent lots of time trying to resolve those – so please just keep an eye on this and let us know if you continue to see issues while sync’ing your mail/contacts/RSS feeds/etc…

· Performance – This is one area where we made a lot of improvements with the last build, and will continue to work on until we feel like we’ve got it right! Again, hard to pinpoint a specific thing to focus on – but if you think certain tasks are still slower than you would expect them to be, please let us know what those are so we can make sure to investigate those for future releases.

Windows Vista RC2 build 5744 - Get it quick!

Microsoft has released Windows Vista RC2 with build number 5744. This is available from the fast servers of Akamai for a limited time only.

"This build (5744) has a number of improvements and updates from previous builds, and has been through daily testing processes to refine quality and performance. We are making this release available for a limited time only (and only by download) in order to get broad distribution and testing in a variety of PC configurations."

As with previous betas and release candidate 1, this will be in ISO, to be mounted via an emulator or burned to a disc.

Microsoft plans to ship .NET Framework 3.0 as part of the Windows Vista operating system. In addition, Microsoft is making these technologies available on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Installation

This release supports Visual Studio 2005 RTM and is compatible with 2007 Microsoft Office system Beta 2 Technical Refresh. The Microsoft® Windows® SDK contains documentation, samples, and tools designed to help you develop managed applications and libraries using .NET Framework. You can install the SDK that corresponds to this release here.
